W is for Walking Daily

Is it not true we get old with the every ticking second? No one could deny this fact that we grow old every day. Yet there is something undeniable - we can present ourselves young and healthy.

Once my daughter wondered at my choice of sarees and replied curtly that I must look like her mom and not like a grand-ma. Though one’s appearance may be deceptive, still the world looks at people who brighten the space with their presence and win everyone’s appreciation. When I compare how I looked two decades ago, and how I look now there is a vast difference. Certainly, there are some rules I followed that lifted my confidence and made me look graceful. Even though the world acclaims people for their knowledge and word power, still your appearance counts more.

Healthy diet is the important key that can help you look young and healthy. Fresh vegetables, fruits and nuts must be there as a major part of your diet. Taking carrot juice every day helps you to have a shining, naturally glowing skin. Though some may not like to have a cup of beetroot juice every day, it can be added with some lemon juice and honey. Skipping white sugar and having jaggery in your diet can also help you maintain your energy level.

Walking could play a major role in making you look fit and healthy. Make it a compulsory rule to walk at least for 20 minutes every day in the morning to start your day (not your usual walk to the station or to the nearby shop). You can shed off unnecessary folds of flesh that can change your shape and you can maintain your healthy posture that can capture the attention of other onlookers who want to imitate the way you walk your way
